Ode to joy – Developing attunement through the experience of joy

add class h_bar orange

The JOY project targets young adults who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs). The project provides NEETs and their professionals training methods to help them become aware of, assess and make use of their prior learning. The exercises developed within the project will help to recognise and deepen the experience of positive emotions.

Our aim is to help the young people concerned to develop a realistic self-image and a positive vision of the future, thus helping them to formulate their own goals and shape their future. This will enable them to engage in studies that they can sustain or commit to for longer in their future jobs.

The programme we have developed uses tools from storytelling, symbol work, drama among others, and our training and workshops are designed to find something that speaks to everyone. In the project, we are developing a toolkit and a manual to help professionals working with NEETs with practical and theoretical writings, as well as training and workshops.
